Oskár Čepan Award 2022

Collective exhibition of five artists selected by an international jury (Aaron Cezar, Amira Gad, Edith Jeřábková, Lilia Kudelia). According to curator Ema Hesterová “artists reveal large chunks of themselves to show us that we can perceive the world differently than we are used to, that there is no single or correct interpretation of it.”

The goal here was not and is not forced sharing, nor is it collective survival, but rather an effort to care when circumstances demand it and when the impulse to do so arrives. To leave no one behind and to call for help when it is needed. To take circumstances into account, but to determine one’s own needs and not be drawn in by expectations.
